...was what Motor Boat and Yachting said about our DALE 23 when they got behind the helm for the first time.
But without wishing to blow our own trumpets too much, that was exactly what we set out for it to be. Together with TT boat designs we worked tirelessly, pulling on all the experience of five decades of building boats with the finest of sea-keeping reputations, to create a unique high speed boat with the very highest level of secure sea-keeping, stunning performance and the most exhilarating handling.
Now we’re turning everything we know and everything we learned from the DALE 23 towards three new and very bespoke high performance models, the DALE Nelson 34 Open, the DALE Classic 34 and the DALE D34...
DALE Nelson 34 Open and DALE Classic 34
This boat was born out of the excitement of the magazine reviews of the high performance DALE 23 and its appearance at the London Boat Show.
The owner who has commissioned the DALE Nelson 34 Open loved everything he heard and saw about the 23, especially the way it performs and handles, yet wanted a boat offering more in the way of accommodation.
The brief was for a 34ft sports boat with generous open cockpit space, forward overnight accommodation for two with occasional overnight accommodation in an additional two cockpit berths.
Our design team has produced two options: an Open Sports Boat or Hard Top ‘Classic’ – with the hull and lower superstructure being common to both versions.
Both models are based around a modular design that enables the layout to be adapted for subsequent builds, for example, the galley can be housed in the cockpit (or in the wheelhouse on the ‘Classic’ version) or down below if more seating is preferred in the cockpit/wheelhouse.
And, as a welcome addition to the brief, we’ve also been able fit in a second 2 berth cabin.
Layout, accommodation options, fit out, finishes and equipment will be very flexible allowing for future builds to be bespoke to perfectly suit each owner’s requirements and cruising plans.

- 34ft (10.4m) full planing hullplaning hull but with the benetits of fine entry forward hull sections
- DALE 23 levels of exhilarating handling with ‘Nelson’ levels of sea-keeping and ride
- Single engine installation from 150hp – 370hp or twin engine installation from 2 x 150hp – 2 x 260hp
- Anticipated performance of 35 knots +
- Two berth forward accommodation with heads and shower
- Second two berth cabin
- Modular accommodation options - e.g. galley above deck or down below, cockpit design to suit individual owner’s entertainment plans etc
