DALE Classic 45 'highly commended' in Motor Boat of the Year Awards 2007
The DALE Classic 45 has beaten the some of the world's most famous marques including the Mochi 51 Dolphin, the Hinkley Picnic EP and even the Riva Aquariva to take a special 'highly commended' award in the 'Traditional and Retro' category of the Motor Boat of the Year Awards 2007.

The competition is open to every boat on the world market and the judges have the option of marking a boat as 'highly commended' when two boats are so close for the top spot that they have difficulty in deciding the winner.
The eventual winner was the Swordsman 30, and in placing the DALE Classic 45 a very close second, the judges commented, "To class this boat as a retro special risks underselling what is one of the most usable long and short distance cruisers of its type. The fact that it is achingly beautiful, exquisitely built and infinitely customisable is the icing on the cake."
